Sensory Analytics: Applications: Electronics

Companies in the electronics industry have been avid users of traditional products that maintain coating thickness. With our Sensory products, manufacturers in this segment are able to ensure coating quality and consistency, while maintaining real time manufacturing information flow.
Thin Film Controls:
The Sensory optIcons® PEM (Plasma Emissions Measurement) examines the atomic energy spectrum of a material in a plasma state to control the magnetron sputtering process. Superconducting thin films used to create nanometric thin film disc drive heads are controlled using the optIcons PEM process controller. In another application, physical vapor deposition of metallic layers used in antireflective coatings is controlled using Gauge-PAC integrated process control systems. Our optIcons® ATC (Automated Thickness Control) system will provide precise, real-time measurements of films, pigments, and particulates to ensure uniformity and conformity essential to the performance of the end product such as effect colorants and security films.
The Sensory Gauge-PAC™ system measures and controls thin ceramic cast films used in the manufacturing of ceramic capacitors, Li-Ion battery technology, as well as separation membranes used in fuel cells. Applications in the electronics market also include organic thin films and filtration pigments used in optical switching circuits. Sensory optIcons® systems are used to control multi-layer coatings applied to LCD flat panel displays, cell phones and other personal electronic devices.
