Sensory Analytics

Sensory Analytics: Applications: Home & Building Materials

The home and building materials market is also well suited for the company’s suite of thickness measurement and color measurement products. The highest impact applications focus on color and thickness validation of laminates, paints, flooring materials, metal roofing and similar materials.

Laminates:

Sensory's, optIsort® system provides solutions to critical problems for manufacturers of high pressure decorative laminates. Our optIsort® system is the preferred choice for laminate inspection because of processing speed and knowledge management. We specialize in providing a non-contact inspection with real-time measurement of solid and abstract color materials and the use of learning algorithms required for high speed production-line-friendly pattern recognition. Information technology solutions are available in a secure data compression format and transmission via Internet.

Paints and Pigments:

Sensory's optIcons® EPC (End-Point Controls) uses process friendly, intrinsically safe control systems to automate color measurement of colorant dosing used in paints, coatings, vinyl pellets, paper and other processes. Proprietary optical systems facilitate automated measurement  of small sample sizes so that it can be profitable to manufacture small lot sizes. Patented software algorithms are used to analyze and control batch process in a closed-loop mode so that only a minimal capital investment can increase profitability by simply improving throughput.

Flooring and Roofing Materials:

In addition to the optIcons family of sensors for color measurement and pattern recognition, the Sensory Gauge-PAC™ system is the ideal solution for thickness measurement. This suite of sensors will provide the range of thickness measurement requirements for manufacturers of flooring materials.

Other Materials:

At Sensory Analytics, we bring an array of sensory devices to meet your need for color measurement, thickness measurement, moisture, weight, topography, opaqueness or pattern recognition. Out patented or proprietary solutions include sensors based on optics, lasers, radio frequency, eddy current, capacitance, or infared technology and can be delivered as portable units, rack mounted platforms and in-line solutions for use in QC inspection,  whether on the production line or in the field.
